Ora West Hamilton, 89, a resident of Albuquerque since 1961, died Thursday, June 3, 2004. She is survived by her son, Irred "Butch" Hamilton and wife, Sami of Albuquerque; grandsons, Jason Hamilton and Jeffrey Hanstad; and great-grandchildren, Brittany Hamilton, Ian Hamilton, and Sierra Esquer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Hamilton in 1989. Ora was born in Hereford, TX on November 16, 1914. She graduated from Waylon Baptist College. Ora married Charles C. Hamilton on July 14, 1946. She retired from the US Public Indian Health Service. Ora was an avid UNM Lobo fan. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Monday, June 7, 2004, 4:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. French Mortuary 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE 275-3500
