Julie T. Burke, 86, a resident of Albuquerque since 1984, died Friday, June 4, 2004. She is survived by her daughter, Janet M. Burke of Everett, WA; son, Jorgen J. Burke and wife, Marie of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Roger, Shery, Lance and Lisa; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Grinsteinner of Dickinson, ND; brother, Steve Volz of Montana; sisters-in-law, Judith Peterson of Webster, SD and Clara Volz of Miles City, MT; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jorgen A. Burke in 1978; sons, Jeffrey in 1969 and James in 2001; and several brothers and sisters. Julie was a past member of First Lutheran Church of Crystal, MN. She was a current member of the Carlisle Plaza United Methodist Church. Julie volunteered at Fairbault State Hospital was a Cub Scout den mother, and volunteered at A.R.C.A. in Albuquerque. Services will be held Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, with Pastor Cherie Lyon officiating. Interment will take place at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Crystal, MN. Friends may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Institute for Cancer Research, 1759 R.
