William David Conklin, 74, a resident of Albuquerque for 16 years, died on May 29, 2004. He is survived by his companion, Ethel McKiddy of Albuquerque; daughter, Loretta Roach and husband, Dennis of Tempe, AZ; son, Ron Lane and wife, Sandy of Las Vegas, Nevada; granddaughter, Teena Roach of Tempe, AZ; grandson, Michael Roach of Tempe, AZ; granddaughter, Karen McFarland of Albuquerque; six great-grandchildren, Chelsey Roach of Tempe, AZ, Shane Roach and Riley Roach both of Gilbert, AZ, Shea Thun, Cody Thun, Nathan McFarland all of Albuquerque; brother, Vern Conklin and wife, Joyce; sister, Joann Thomas and husband, Richard all of Sun City, AZ; nephews, Scotty Conklin and wife, Doris of Albuquerque and Terry Conklin and wife, Chris of Wisconsin; niece, Jacqueline LaBlanc and husband, Bob of Missouri; great niece, Lindsey Conklin of Albuquerque and many more family members that loved and cherished him. Bill was preceded in death by his son, Steven Conklin. Bill was a retired professional truck driver with 25 years of service on the road. He is a member of the Albuquerque Masonic Lodge #6 and also a member of the Moose Lodge. Bill was a very friendly person and would help anyone in need. He knew no strangers and was always kind and generous. He will be greatly missed. Masonic Rites will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at French Mortuary- Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW. A reception will take place at the family home immediately following the services on Wednesday.
