Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Sunday May 30, 2004

Louise Simpson passed away on May 8, 2004 after years of declining health. She was 87. Louise was retired from the Highway Department in Santa Fe where she worked for 32 years. She was the sister of Eva Cahill, Earl Simpson, Dot Farley, Mary Heckman, Grace Cummings, Eunice Simpson, Bernice Simpson, and Jim Simpson. She was preceded in death by all but her brother Jim. She is remembered for her devotion to her mother, Sarah McKown Simpson, and her sisters Eunice and Dot. For those nieces and nephews who knew her, she is remembered as a generous and gentle soul with an infectious laugh. Our gratitude is given to her caregivers at Care Free Living for their kindness and care. "The road has been long, the journey hard, and the traveler has stopped at the welcoming inn." -The Simpson Family
