Arquin Martinez, age 82, beloved father and grandfather was called home by our Heavenly Father, Thursday, May 27, 2004, while surrounded by his loving family. Arquin was born in Edith, CO; and was a resident of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his wife Rita Martinez on April 28, 2004; a daughter, Judy Ann Guerra; and a son, Martin Martinez. Arquin is survived by his loving daughters, Dolores Lopez and husband Norbert, Denise Whipple and husband David; his precious grandchildren, Dominic Santistevan, Deanna Zamora and husband Leonard; eight great-grandchildren; and other beloved family members and friends. Arquin will be greatly missed by his loving family. A rosary was recited Friday evening. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Whipple, Alex Talamante, Dominic Santistevan, John Hedrick, Raymond Martinez, and Norbert Lopez. Honorary bearers will be his brothers, Able and Gilbert Martinez.
