Ermelinda C. Maynez went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, May 21, 2004. She was born October 9, 1927 in Questa, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ignacio Maynez. A wonderful mother and friend, she is survived by 6 children and their spouses, including sons Dennis, Paul, Patrick, and Rocky and daughters, Ermie and Carol. She had 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and services will be held Thursday May 27, 2004, at St. Joseph's on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, 5901 St. Joseph's NW, Albuquerque, NM. A Rosary will begin at 1:30 P.M. followed by a Mass at 2:00. Her remains will be buried alongside her late husband at Fort Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso, TX, where a grave-side service will be held on Friday at 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the New Mexico Chapter Alzheimer's Association, 8100 Mountain Road NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
