Elvira B. Romero, age 97, peacefully went to be with Our Lord and Savior on Friday, May 21, 2004. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Elvira was born in Lemitar, NM on November 14, 1906 and was raised on her parents homestead, 30 miles west of Belen. Elvira married Santiago Romero on April 26, 1926 in Riley, NM, had five boys and one girl, and became the best mother in the whole world. Elvira is preceded in death by her husband, Santiago G. Romero; her parents, Jorge and Casimira Saiz Bustamante; her brothers, Daniel, Jose, Antonio, Herman; one sister, Marillita and her husband, Conrado Carrillo; a grandson, Danial A.
