John Frank Rodden died on May 19, 2004. John was born on September 22, 1936 in Brooklyn, and later moved to the Bronx, New York. He had lived in Albuquerque since 1958. He was in the United States Navy from 1953-1957. He worked as an Air Traffic Controller for the Federal Aviation Administration until his retirement in 1994. He is survived by his spouse, Kathy Rodden; Loretta Cabbage, mother of his children; a daughter, Susan Rodden; a son, Steven Rodden and wife, Maria Luisa; former spouse, Patricia Coburn, all of Albuquerque; a sister, Doris DeWinter of Margate, FL; three nieces, Denise, Holly and Leslie; and a large extended family. John loved to travel the world and enjoyed deep sea fishing. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at the First Family Church, 4701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque. "I looked into the night sky and saw thousands of lights. There were lightning bugs. Beyond them were the stars. I'm traveling through them to my next adventure".
