Trinidad Garcia, 97, passed away on May 14, 2004. Trinidad was born and raised in Magdalena, NM. She attended Loretto School in Las Cruces, NM and later attended Stanford University graduating cum laude. She is preceded in death by her father, Lorenzo Garcia and mother, Encarnacion Garcia; four sisters; one brother; and one nephew. She is survived by one nephew, Frank Howard, a host of cousins, and long time friends Mary and Prentis Jones. She taught high school in Magdalena, and elementary school in Socorro. Trini was an avid crossword puzzle solver and enjoyed traveling. A Rosary will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Church, Magdalena, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 21, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Church. Interment will follow at Magdalena Cemetery.
