Obituary for BARBER

Edward Robert Barber, 82, a resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, May 16, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rosemary M. Barber; sons, Mark Barber and wife, Anna of DeForest, WI, Matthew Barber and wife, Bettye of Hull, MA, Gregory Barber and wife, Jane of Scottsdale, AZ, Steven Barber of Austin,TX and Robert Barber and his wife, Tammy of Many, LA; daughters, Rosemary Barrett and husband, John of Albuquerque, Michelle Campion and her husband, Bill; grandchildren, Matthew II and Emma Barber of Hull, MA, Christopher and Daniel Barber of Scottsdale, AZ, Chelsea, Robert II and Jamie Barber, and her husband James King all of Many, LA, Jason, Michelle, and April Barrett of Albuquerque, and Will II, Michael, Sarah and Jacob Campion of Albuquerque; two great grandchildren (on the way). In 1944 he served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the 445th Bomb Group-700th Squadron, and was an active member in the local 8tth Air Force Historical Society. In 1948 Edward graduated from La Salle College, Philadelphia PA. In 1956 he took a job at Sandia National Laboratories, and retired after 30years of service. Mr. Barber was very active in all aspects of his children's lives especially when it came to sports. He was a coach and former president of the Board of Directors of Altamonte Little League; former president of the 8th Air Force Historical Society of New Mexico, and a member of Our Lady Of the Annunciation Catholic Church. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, May 21, 2004 at 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Annunciation Catholic Church on Claremont and Vermont St., Albuquerque, NM. Burial of Cremains will take place at Santa Fe National Monument, Santa Fe, NM. on Friday, May 21, 2004 at 11:30 a.m. French Mortuary 10500 Lomas Blvd. Chapel 275-3500
