Robert Vigil, born December 10, 1919 in Torreon, NM. went home to be with his Heavenly Father on May 18th 2004. Robert was the beloved husband of Geneva Vigil for 64 years. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Juan (Dadito) and Eufelia (Fella) Vigil, two grandchildren Anthony and Suzanne Padilla, and three great grandchildren Ashley and Austin Lopez and Keanu Campos. Robert was the loving father of seven children; Roberta Padilla husband, Leroy Padilla, Angie Black husband, Eddie Black, Rosaline Harwell husband, Cecil Harwell, Anadina Cordero, and Santos Escarcega, Robert (Bobby) Vigil Jr. and wife, Kathy Vigil, Lee Roy Vigil and wife, Rose Vigil and Evelyn Vigil and Debbie Leyba. Robert was a loving grandfather to 16 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. Robert was the eldest of five sisters; and two brothers; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at St. Anne's Church 1400 Arenal Rd SW. A Rosary will be recited at on Wednesday May 19, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday May 20, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery immediately following the mass. Pallbearers will be Arnold Padilla, Eddie Black Jr., Debbie Lee Campos, Patrick Cordero, Gilbert Vigil and Sean Vigil. Honorary Pallbearers are Jude Vigil and Johnny Baca.
