Gladys Bell Nunn, 86, of Paris, TX died Wednesday, March 24, 2004, in Heritage Care Center. Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 2004, in Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Norman officiating. Cremation is under the direction of Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home. She was born Gladys Jones on November 28, 1917, in Fannin County, the daughter of Sherman B. and Barbara Savage Jones. She married Raymond E. Nunn on August 15, 1980. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a charter member and she was one of the three Licensed Practical Nurses to start the LPN Association of New Mexico and of the State Board of Nursing. She was the founding Vice President of the LPN Association of New Mexico. She was a member of Reno Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Lonnie Jones, Melvin Jones and S.E. Jones; a sister, Maxine Jane Howdeshell; and her husband, Raymond Nunn. Survivors include her sons, Ralph C. Maroney of Spanaway, Wash. and Stanley E. Bell of Wilmer; step-son, Glenn Bell; daughter, Jo Ann Bell Combe of Littleton, Colo.; stepdaughter, Ruth Bell Stevens of Amarillo; brothers, S.B. Jones of Spring, Finis T. Jones of Magnolia and J.C. Jones of Honey Grove; sister, Lucile Jones of Albuquerque, N.M.; sisters-in-law, Effie Jones of Honey Grove, Juanita Jones of Paris and Joyce Jones of Oklaunion; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
