Nelson Taylor Ramel, 80, a resident of Albuquerque since 1963, died on May 13, 2004. He was born in Beverly, Kansas on January 20, 1924. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and is retired from Phillips Mercantile. He is survived by his daughter, Jene Fawley and husband, Randy of Albuquerque; his sons, Jim and Greg Ramel of Corpus Christi, TX; his former wife, Vivian Baca; his stepchildren, Angela Davis of Hawaii, David, Denice and Steve Aguilar of Riverside, CA and Laurie Guy of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Damion Bundrant and wife, Sherry, Kim Baca and husband, Chris, Amy and Allison Ramel, Alyse Guy, Mariah Davis, Justin Ferdinandus, Josh Davis, Dakota and Zia Aguilar; great-grandchildren, Sareena and Christopher Baca and Adreanna Guy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Ramel. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2004 at Chapel of Sunrise, 7601 Wyoming Blvd., NE, Albuquerque.
