Obituary for HARTZELL

Victor W. Hartzell was born in Topeka, KS, on July 14, 1913. He passed from this life on Thursday, April 29, 2004. Mr. Hartzell was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years Peggy Perine Hartzell. He is survived by his daughter, Vicki Wilson and husband, Lynn; grandsons, David Wilson and wife, Carla and Daniel Wilson and wife, Marcea; and great-grandchildren, Ashley, Benjamin and Peter Wilson. Mr. Hartzell had a law degree and was in the FBI before moving his family to Albuquerque in 1946, where he enjoyed a life-long career in business finance. He owned his own business, "Hartzell Leasing Co" for many years. Victor belonged to the Elks Club and was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner. He was also a charter member of the Immanuel Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Duke City Bridge Club and the Albuquerque Bridge Club. He loved to play cards of any kind and especially loved a lively game of poker. He taught his grandsons to play as soon as they big enough to hold the cards. Mr. Hartzell is also survived by his Tibetan Spaniel dog, "Billy," and many friends through the dog world who loved "Grampa" and will greatly miss him.
