Kathryn "Kat" Garcia, 49, a resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, April 29, 2004. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Garcia of Albuquerque; son, Jerrod Garcia of Albuquerque; mother, Bonnie Hood of Albuquerque; brothers, David Knight of Phoenix, AZ and Randy Hood of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Rhyen Shey Brewington of Albuquerque; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many friends. Kat was born in Wilson, NC in 1955 and moved to Albuquerque that same year. She was a 1972 graduate of Del Norte High School. After graduation, she went to work for Allstate Insurance Co. She operated her own agency until her death. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Monday, May 3, 2004, 5:00 p.m., to 9:00 p.m. Services will be held Tuesday, May 4, 2004, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE.
