Marlene Skidmore. On April 24, 2004, she went to her eternal rest at age 60. She was born on April 12, 1944, in Tome, NM. Marlene was completely devoted to her family and work. Her life revolved around her daughter, Ragina and granddaughter, Brittany. She made it known everyday just how much she loved them. She worked for USDA-Rural Housing, formally known as Farmers Home Administration. She helped numerous people during her 39 1/ 2 -year career. Marlene thrived on helping those in need and always went an extra mile to assist others. There are no words to describe the value placed on Marlene. No hour was too early and no trip was too far when it came to helping families realize their dream. This was her compensation. Marlene affected many lives, both personally and professionally. She is going to be greatly missed by everyone. May she rest in peace for all of eternity. Marlene is preceded in death by her father, Juan E. Zamora, her mother Deluvina P. Zamora, her sister Leova Romero, her sister-in-law Carmen Zamora, and her nephew Norman Otero. Marlene is survived by her daughter Ragina Pena and her granddaughter Brittany Vallejos. She is also survived by her brother Joe Zamora, from Albuquerque, her sister Rachel Toledo and husband Prospero, from Albuquerque, her sister Maryann and husband Lorenzo, from Albuquerque, her brother Julian Zamora, from Tome, her sister Cecilia Coiner and husband Bud, from Tome, her sister Lydia Havens, from Tome, her brother Danny Zamora and wife Mellie, from Tome, and Lorina and husband Jimmy, from Veguita. She is also survived by several nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great- nieces, cousins, and friends. There will be a viewing, at Romero Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at 5:30 p.m., followed by a rosary at 6:00 p.m. A funeral Service at San Clemente Church, Los Lunas at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday April 28th. Interment will follow at the Tome Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are her nephews Gene Sanchez, Dennis Romero, Nathan Garcia, Pete Garcia, Marcos Zamora, and co-worker an d good friend Ron Gonzales.
