Obituary for CLEMENT

Mae. Services for Mae Clement will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at 1:30 p.m. at Lloyd James Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ken Warren officiating. Burial will follow at Cathedral in the Pines under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home. Mae Clement died on April 24, 2004, concluding an earthly life filled with love and laughter. She was born in Briscoe County, Texas on October 14, 1924 to Lemeul Veral and Emma Earl Vaughan. She lived the majority of her life in Albuquerque and San Ysidro, New Mexico moving to Tyler, Texas 5 years ago. Some people do it all, our Granny was one of those people. She sang professionally on the radio while attending Eastern New Mexico University. She taught first grade at San Jon Schools until she moved to Albuquerque. While in Albuquerque she worked as an allergy specialist nurse In 1964 she moved to San Ysidro, New Mexico where she owned and operated Clement Butane Co. until her retirement. After retirement she became and accomplished ball room dancer. She volunteered at various churches as a pianist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Adams and Buford Clement and a sister, Mildred Stephens. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Aragon and husband, Allen; sons, Dennis Adams, Donald Adams and wife, Linda; granddaughters, Kimberly and Allison Aragon, Sharla Ishmael, Carrie Adams, Kelly Adams, Heidi Adams; grandson, Casey Adams; one great-granddaughter, Josie. She is also survived by her beloved and sister and brother, Waldene Henson and Rex Vaughan. Memorials may be made to the Smith County Humane Society, PO Box 6151, Tyler, TX 75711
