Obituary for SHAW

Brad O. Shaw, 85, died Tuesday, April 20 after a lengthy fight with cancer. Brad, a native of New Mexico, was born September 25, 1918 in Las Cruces. He served in the U. S. Army Air Corp from 1942 until 1946. Brad was employed at Sandia Laboratories from 1948 until his retirement in 1974. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Barbara; son, Richard; granddaughters Deborah Savage, Rebecca Kenny, Amanda Whitehouse, and Kathleen Blakely; grandsons, Brian Shaw and Comdr. Daniel Shaw; niece, Patti Conard; nephew, Robert Holden and grand-niece, JoAnne Tschantre, all of California; many great and great-great grandchildren; members of "The Shaw Clan", and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark. Brad's life was centered on his extended family. He was a happy, curious and busy man who celebrated life every day. His attitude and guidance will be missed by his family and friends. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, May 1, 2004, 4:00 p.m. at French Mortuary on Lomas Blvd., NE.
