Obituary for MEYER

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Sunday April 18, 2004

Milton D. Meyer, 88, died Thursday, April 15, 2004. He died three weeks following the death of his beloved wife, Virginia. They were married 63 years and simply could not live without each other. Survivors include daughter, Letha Oman and her husband, Don of Albuquerque and granddaughter, Jennifer Oman of Phoenix, Arizona. Milton loved to laugh. His greatest joys in life were times spent with his family and friends, telling tales, and playing practical jokes. He had a deep and abiding faith in his God that was his center for all things. His faith and knowledge of the Bible were an inspiration to all who knew him. He loved to fish, work in his workshop and was the ultimate "fix-it" man and "tinkerer." Whenever family or friends needed something - Milton was always there for them. He was a true gentleman who knew no strangers. The family wishes to thank the staff of Las Palomas Nursing Center for their compassion and care throughout Milton's stay. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to McCollum Elementary Library, 10900 San Jacinto, 87112. Services will be held Monday, April 19, 2004, 4:00 p.m., at the Covenant United Methodist Church, 8510 Wyoming Blvd. NE. French Mortuary 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE 275-3500
