Virginia (Ginny) Rose Mueller, 82, a resident of Corrales, died quietly on Palm Sunday, April 4, 2004. Ginny was born July 23, 1921 the daughter of Joseph and Dorene Kortan in Redlands, California. She graduated from Fillmore High School in 1939. (She was known in high school as "Corky".) She wed W.J. Mueller (Woody) in 1946. She and Woody raised three children; W.J. Jr. (Butch) born in 1947, who died in Vietnam in 1967; Susan Elaine, born in 1948, died in 2000; and Louise Hutchinson, presently living in Corrales, NM. Woody and Ginny moved their family from California to Kalamazoo, Michigan in 1956. In 1963 they relocated to Albuquerque. Ginny worked as an operator at Mountain Bell in the 1970's in Albuquerque. In late 1980, she and Woody moved to Bull Head City, AZ, where she worked for a time with Wal-Mart. She was preceded in death by her husband Woody in 1993, at which time Ginny made her home with daughter Louise in Corrales. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. She is further survived by three grandchildren, Erika Lynn Howell of Albuquerque, Rosalind Hutchinson of Corrales, and Henry Hutchinson of Corrales; one great-granddaughter, Sara Gabriel Howell of Albuquerque; one brother, Malcomb, of California. She was a dedicated homemaker, mother, wife, and friend. A "Gathering" will be celebrated at a later date for family and friends.
