Zina S. Schroeder, 93, a 30 year resident of Rio Rancho, and coming to New Mexico from Wisconsin, died on Sunday, March 28, 2004. Zina was born January 3, 1911 the daughter of Otto Fischer and Peraskoria Bagdanoff in Russia. Zina was a professional jewelry designer. She also contributed a lot of her time in public service. She had donated handmade blankets and teddy bears to domestic violence shelters and service men and women for over 15 years. Zina was a member of the Ninety-Niners golf club at the Rio Rancho Country Club as well as the First Thursday Bridge Club at the Best Western Inn. She was preceded in death by her husband Max Schroeder in September, 1984. Zina is survived by her nephews Pete Leschniok of Cave Creek, AZ, Garry Leschniok of British Columbia, Canada; and her daughter-in-law Margrit Ratheach of Hamburg, Germany. A Graveside Service for Zina will take place on Friday, April 2, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Rd, Rio Rancho, NM. Sunrise Funeral Options 2400 Southern Blvd. 891-9192
