Obituary for FARLEY

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Friday March 26, 2004

Yleen M. Farley, 86, of Gallup, NM, died Sunday, March 21, 2004 in Gallup, NM. She was born July 18, 1917 in Lincoln, NE. Yleen was a member of The 7th Day Adventist Church. She professed her faith in Jesus through word as well as in deed throughout her 86 years of life. She quietly provided care to neighbors, friends and family when they were in need of help. Yleen also provided service and comfort for the sick, elderly, and those without family. She set these examples for her family without want or need of recognition. Four generations of family benefited from her love: her husband, siblings, children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. They all knew her love and loved her greatly in return. She had a great affection for having family and friends gather around the table and celebrate life, no one was a stranger in her home. She died in the Lord with the faith of knowing He will return, and that she will be reunited with those she loved. Memorial Services will be announced at a later date. Yleen is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Farley; father, Warren Burmood; mother, Margaret Burmood; daughter, Shirley Jean Ellis; daughter, Patti Matlock; brother, Edwin "Ed" Burmood; and brother, Wayne Burmood. Survivors include Frank "Bill" Farley Jr. of Gallup, NM, son; Warren Burmood Jr. of Lincoln, NE, brother; Bernice Crabtree of Hemet, CA, sister; Janice Jones of Farmington, NM, granddaughter; Yleen Kowal of Farmington, NM, granddaughter; Billy Matlock of Farmington, NM, grandson; Chris Matlock of Kennewick, WA, grandson.
