Beverly Carr Petersen, 86, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2004. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Leonidas Thomas (Pete) Petersen; daughter, Diane Peters and husband, Richard of Los Alamos; son, Andrew Petersen and wife, Julia of Portland, OR; four granddaughters, Kari Johnson and husband, Ted of Kansas City, MO, Chrestine Gerhards and husband, Keith of Parker, CO, Melanie McKinley and husband, Matthew and Cindi Eckhardt and husband, Clint, all of Albuquerque; and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Petersen was born an only child in Oroville, CA to Bessie C. and John W. Carr on July 29, 1917. Most of her life was spent in California, attending school in Napa and living her adult life in Sacramento. She and Pete moved to Albuquerque in 2000 to be near family. The great pleasures in her life were her friends, traveling the world with Pete, playing bridge, and reading extensively. She lived at the Montebello and appreciated the kindness shown to her and Pete there. Services will be held Saturday, March 27, 2004, 10:30 a.m., at The Montebello, 10500 Academy NE.
