Ernest Ortega, 49, a resident of Anaheim, Ca. and formerly of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away on March 11, 2004. Mr. Ortega is the beloved husband of 31 years to Jo Anne Ortega. Mr. Ortega is also survived by one son, Christopher E. Ortega; one daughter, Tiffany N. Ortega; his father, Benjamin Ortega; brothers and sisters, Benny Ortega and wife, Lila, Fermin Ortega and wife, Jennie, Maryann Chavez and husband, Paul, Benina Rochester and husband, Dee, Bernadette Kluding and husband, Mike, Martin Ortega, Irene Zamora, Alex Ortega and wife, Lorraine; in laws, Faye, Karen, Fred, Alan Gabaldon and wife, Linda and sons; his Godfather, Jim Abeyta; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Ortega was a member of the Catholic Church. A visitation for Mr. Ortega will be Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A final visitation will be Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Christopher E. Ortega, Martin Ortega, Alex Ortega, Fermin Ortega, Fred Gabaldon, and Alan Gabaldon. Honorary pallbearer will be, Benny Ortega.
