Consuelo Chavez Garvey passed away March 15, 2004 in Albuquerque at the age of 73. She was born April 22, 1930 in Lamy, NM She moved to Santa Fe in 1940. She later moved to Albuquerque in 1962. Consuelo is preceded in death by her daughter, Jeannie Garvey; siblings, Estella Martinez, Margarito Chavez, Fermin Chavez, Magdalena Gallegos and parents, Dionicio and Angelita Chavez. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Ortiz, Consuelo Garvey-Sierra, Catherine Garvey; grandchildren, Adam Maestas and Connie Sierra; siblings, Guadalupe Chavez and wife, Simona, Celestino Chavez and wife, Dorthey, Santana Archuleta and husband, Kennith, Antonia Romero, and Marcos and Theresa Sanchez; and many nieces and nephews. A Rosary for Mrs. Garvey will be recited on Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated following the Rosary at 10:00 a.m. Burial of the cremated remains will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
