Marietta J. Sais, age 44, devoted wife, mother and sister was called home by our Heavenly Father after a long battle with cancer on Tuesday, March 9, 2004. She was born July 21, 1959 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her father, Faustino B. Torres. Marietta is survived by her husband, Juan Carrion; sons, Stephen Sais and Andrew Carrion; her mother, Alice Olona Torres; sisters, Lucille Giddings and husband, Charles, Juli Velasco and husband, Bobby; brothers, Paul Torres and Danny Torres and wife, Jeanette; several nieces and nephews. Marietta retired after 25 years of dedicated service from the State of New Mexico, Children, Youth and Families Division. She loved her family and was always involved with her sons in various sports. Marietta enjoyed going to the casino and playing bingo. She was a member of Queen of Heaven Parish. Rosary will be recited on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5300 Claremont NE with Karen Aceves, reciting. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 a.m. also at the church. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chuck Giddings, Kevin Torres, Chris Ortiz, Paul Carrion, James Griego and Mario Barela. Honorary pallbearers will be Xavier, Satino, Robert and Troy.
