Henry J. "Jake" White, 73, passed away at his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Sunday, February 29, 2004. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; three sons and two daughters; two brothers and a sister. He was born in Joplin, Missouri on April 28, 1930. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a reading and language specialist with Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute for 20 years. Prior to BIA employment he taught at Pittsburg State University in Kansas. He was proud of being a teacher for over 35 years, dedicated to the well being of his students. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Missouri.
