Jennie M. Hernandez, 94, went home to be with the Lord on February 29, 2004. She was born on March 15, 1909 in Weston, Colorado. Mrs. Hernandez is preceded in death by her sons, Raymond and George Hernandez and her husband, Reyes Hernandez. She is survived by her sons, Gilbert Hernandez and wife Delia, John Hernandez and wife Bertha, Joe Hernandez and wife Rosa, David Hernandez and wife Shelia and Jim Hernandez and wife Lourdes; daughters, Esther Stockton, Theresa Hernandez and Rosemary Tatarian and husband Garo; brothers, Phil Tapia and wife Martha, Mike Tapia and wife Esther and Charles Tapia; sisters, Nora Lopez and husband Adan, Helen Armijo and Connie Armijo; 21 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. Jennie will be deeply missed by her loving family. A rosary will recited on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. also at the San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
