Stanley Russel Bakion, 80, a resident of Rio Rancho, died February 27, 2004. He was born January 16, 1924, to parents Harry Bakion and Viola Riley Bakion in Minneapolis, MN. Stanley was an administrative clerk for the federal government before retiring after 40 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II in the U.S. Army. Stanley was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 312 Unser SE in Rio Rancho. The beloved husband, father and grandfather is survived by; his wife of 13 years, Eleanor Bakion; two children, Russell T. Bakion and wife Sharon of Pomona, CA., and Marie Michael and husband Dion Crushshon of Minneapolis, MN.; sisters, Edna Shaw and husband David of Pomona and Harriet Vaughn of Minneapolis; five grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. (The Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, March 2, 2004 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Family Room in Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. The Service will be on Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at 7:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 312 Unser Blvd., SE, Rio Rancho with Jerry Church officiating.)
