Obituary for LONDONO

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Monday March 01, 2004

Gladys Matilde Londono, 66 years of glory, love, and being a mother to the world. Born in Baranquilla Colombia, S.A. on September 23, 1937, she is the daughter of David and Gerardina Londono; sister of Bernardo, Abelardo, Clara, and Jacqueline Londono, and mother of Juan-Carlos Rubio. Gladys passed away on Wednesday February 25, 2004. She lived everyday of her life only with love and she passed that love on to all of those around her. Gladys' passion was her family and her children. Gladys was the proprietor of Londono Day Care for 22 years. In that time she helped raise well over 200 children. She gave each and every one of her kids the same kind of love that both their mother and father would give while in their absence. Words will never be able to encapsulate who she was. Those who knew her could feel her unconditional love for all. Gladys, you will be missed by many but your legacy will never end. You live through all of those that you touched and they will in turn touch others. This is how you lived your life and this is how we will live ours. Thank you. There will be a Rosary and Viewing in her honor at Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave. SE 87106 on Thursday, March 4, 2004 from 7pm to 10pm.The Rosary will begin at 7pm.
