Obituary for STONE

Charles Ray Stone, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on February 23, 2004. He was born on September 21, 1926 to Charlie D. and Gladys Ford Stone in Ranger, Texas. Ray was proud to have served his country in the United States Army. Prior to retirement, he worked for over 30 years at the Public Service Co. of New Mexico as a Journeyman meter-man where he earned the nickname Pebbles. Ray was an avid photographer, loved walking and enjoyed being in the mountains. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Ray is survived by his beloved wife of over 58 years, Betty of Rio Rancho; his four children, Glenn Charles Stone and wife, Dottie Brockman of Peralta, Carolyn Ann Stone, Gloria Jean Rawlings and husband, Stan of Albuquerque, Daniel James Stone and wife, Janyce of Albuquerque; brothers, James N. Stone and wife, Jenny of CA, Donald Stone and wife, Eileen of Peralta; sister, Mildred Breeden and husband, Everett of Peralta; his grandchildren, Larry, Leanne, Jessie, Chad, Ryan, Carey, and Kyle; his eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of beloved friends and loved ones. A memorial service for Ray will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Sunrise Funeral Options in Rio Rancho with Ryan Frazier as officiant.
