Jenny Sanchez, 87, lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed from this earth on Friday, February 20, 2004. Jenny beloved great grandmother, grandmother, mother, daughter, sister and friend lived her life of 86 years to the fullest and surrounded herself with family. She joins her husband, Augustine Sanchez, her son, Donald Lawrence Sanchez and her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Garcia. Jenny accepted her role as a pillar of the family, and followed in Christ's footsteps and had many friends in all walks of life. Jenny's home was always open to anyone who might need a hot meal, someone to talk to, or just a place to pass time. Jenny always accepted what life dealt her, losing many loved ones, she still had a great sense of humor and remained lively for the rest of her days. Born in Pojaque to Albina and Nicolas Blea on January 1, 1918. She is survived and mourned by her son, Joseph Stanley Sanchez and wife, Lupe; brother, Ramon Blea; son-in-law, Lorenzo Garcia; granddaughters, Barbara Gurule and husband, Ernest, Stacie Scharton and husband, Tim; grandsons, Lorenzo C.A. Garcia and Christian F. Sanchez; eight great-grandchildren, Christina, Angelica, Timothy, Angel, Brandi, Lori, Donald, Aubrey and Eric and her brother, Ramon Blea. Visitations will be held on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Refreshments will be served following the Rosary in the Celebration of Life Room also at Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church in Old Town. She will be laid to rest at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith N.E. Carrying Jenny to her final resting place, pallbearers, Lorenzo C.A. Garcia, Christian Sanchez, Barbara M. Gurule, Ernest R. Gurule, Timothy Scharton and Nick Blea. Honorary pallbearers will be Lorenzo J. Garcia, Ken Blea and Peter Armijo. Services are in the care of: GARCIA MORTUARY 717 Stover Ave. S.W. 243-5222
