Obituary for RUIZ

Pilar age 92, passed away Friday, February 20, 2004, after a brief illness. Precious, sweet, devoted adoring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, relative and friend, blessed each of our lives richly. Pilar loved the Lord, and we know with out a doubt she is in the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ. She was born April 5,1911 in Santa Fe. NM and in 1945 moved to Los Alamos NM where she and her husband, Levy raised their family and in later years settled in Albuquerque, NM, where she lived the rest of her life. God blessed Pilar with a loving, caring, compassionate, kind, gentle, generous, and precious spirit that touched so many lives with love, comfort and laughter. She always put others first before her own needs. Pilar was preceded in death by her husband, Liberato (Levy) Ruiz. and her son, Joe L. Ruiz. She is survived by a brother, Tinsy Pino; daughter, Phyllis Rodriguez, and son-in-law Tony; son, Raymond Ruiz, and daughter-in-law, Harriet; daughter-in law, Kay Nations-Ruiz; son, Tom Ruiz, and daughter-in-law, Mary Lou; daughter, Rita Peaslee and son-in-law, Jim, daughter, Juanita Miguel, and son-in-law, Charlie, daughter, Dolores Fulcher, and son-in-law, Jim; 22 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren, cousins, nephews, nieces, and many other close relatives. A special heartfelt THANK YOU to her granddaughter, Jackie Baca, husband, Rudy and all their children and grandchildren for the loving, tender and compassionate care they gave her for the many years she lived with them. God Bless you. A Rosary and Mass is scheduled at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix NE. The Rosary will be Monday, February 23, 2004 at 7:00 p.m., and a memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 24, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place and final interment will be at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. The family is grateful to everyone who has reached out to them with their love, support, prayers, food, flowers, phone calls, cards, and donations to the Carmelite Monastery, 49 Mt. Carmel Rd.
