Romenia M. Montgomery, 42, loving wife, mother, and friend, and a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, February 15, 2004. She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Steve Montgomery; sons, James and Kevin Montgomery; daughter, Shannon Montgomery; mother, Maria Monget of Albuquerque; sister, Toni Harris and husband, Glynn of Albuquerque; brothers, John Monget and wife, Loretta of Albuquerque and Ralph Monget and wife, Alicia of Las Cruces; mother and father-in-law, Grant and Teddy Montgomery of Albuquerque; brother-in-law, Mark Montgomery and wife, Pat of Norman, OK; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph R. Monget on May 10, 2001. Romenia was born in Albuquerque and graduated from Manzano High School. She attended UNM. Romenia was very active with her children and friends in their schools and church. She was always there for her family and friends. Romenia was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and Believers Center of Albuquerque. Memorial services will be held Friday, February 20, 2004, 10:00 a.m., at Believers Center, 320 Waterfall Dr. SE, with John Ross officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zuni Elementary, 6300 Claremont Ave NE, 87110 or to Public Academy for the Performing Arts (PAPA), 4665 Indian School Rd. NE, 87110.
