Obituary for WELCH

David N. Welch, 78, went on ahead to be with our Lord on Friday, February 13, 2004. His family who will miss him include his wife, Bonnie; his daughters, Barbra Duerksen and husband, Gary, Linda Dutton and husband, Eric, Gail Waldron and husband, Robert and Sandy Klein and husband, Fran all of Tome where Dave had been a resident for 32 years. Dave is also survived by his sister, Elsie Green and brother, Charles Welch and wife, Ula. Many more family members and friends will also miss him. Dave was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Welch and brother-in-law, Crook Green. He was born in Berea, Kentucky, March 22, 1925. Dave married Bonnie Jennings on June 27, 1947. He received the Bronze Star while serving his country in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. Dave was a member of First Baptist Church of Bosque Farms. Mr. Welch was honored to be in the business of making people feel comfortable and safe by installing and repairing steam boilers for hospitals and schools. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Services will be held Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Bosque Farms, 1350 Bosque Farms, NM with Pastor L. Sid West officiating. Interment will take place in Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, David Duerksen, Bruce Duerksen, Deric Dutton, Chad Dutton, Tyler Klein, Scott Day and Michael Kountz.
