Mildred Daniel Newell, 94, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, February 12, 2004. She is survived by her grandchildren, Tracy Newell and wife, Kim, Nancy, Lynn and Kent Newell; great-grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth and Karherine; and good friends, Dr. Paul and Marty Lambert. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Newell and son, Robert Newell. Mildred's husband worked as a welder for NC Ribble. She was a loving wife and mother who loved her home and especially her yard. Graveside services will be held Friday, February 27, 2004, 2:00 p.m., at Floydada Cemetery in Floydada, TX. Pallbearers will be Paul Lambert, Brett Lambert, Troy Newell, Kent Newell and Kent Cravens. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Wednesday, February 25, 2004, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Mexico Boys & Girls Ranch, 7008 Carriage Rd. NE, 87109.
