Obituary for MOYA

Margaret Moya, age 59, beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister was called home to be with our Heavenly Father, Saturday, February 14, 2004, while peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Margaret was born on January 6, 1945 to the late Felix and Nellie Torrez. She was very active in the community, a member of Mt. Carmel Church; the Carmelitas, the Sacred Heart Society; and the church choirs both Mt. Carmel and Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. She is preceded in death by a brother, Luther Torrez. Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 41 wonderful years, Harold Moya, Sr. of the family home; her loving children, Debbie Chavez, Harold Moya, Jr., Geraldine Garcia, Kathryn Lopez, Valorie Matthews; and 14 precious grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Betty Rubio and Nancy Saiz; two brothers, Felix Jr. and Charles Torrez, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Margaret will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those who knew and loved her. On behalf of the Moya family, sincere gratitude is expressed to all those whom prayed for Margaret during her illness. Margaret will lie in state Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church; where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final viewing will be Tuesday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Casket bearers will be her loving son-in-laws, Joe Chavez, Rich Hungate, Eloy Lopez and Justin Matthews; grandsons, Christopher Garcia and Dominic Lopez.
