Obituary for BERNARD

Daniel Joseph Bernard, Sr., 58, a resident of Santa Cruz, California, formerly of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away on November 8, 2003. He is survived by his two sons, Daniel Bernard, Jr, and Todd Bernard; both of New York City, his former wife Helen Burke Bernard, of Albuquerque, and his mother Elsie Bernard of Albuquerque. He is also survived by his brothers James, Michael, Mark, John, his two sisters Patricia and Therese, and their spouses. He was preceded in death by his father Ernest Bernard. While in New Mexico, Dan worked at Sandia National Laboratories, Los Alamos National Laboratories, and EG&G. Prior to his death he was an engineer at Micron Technology, Inc. in California. He loved to travel and his job took him to locations around the globe, including Barcelona, Spain; Tokyo, Japan; Seoul, South Korea; England and the Philippines. Dan was also an avid and talented photographer, a computer expert and a motorcycle enthusiast. Cremation has taken place and he has been interred at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. A memorial service will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Pl. SE, Albuquerque, NM on Monday, February 16, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
