Obituary for ZEVE

Bernard Zeve, 81, a resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, February 11, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Adelina C. Zeve; son, Zachary D. Zeve; daughter, Suzanne B. Zeve-Minnick, all of Albuquerque; brother, Murray Zeve and wife, Phyllis of Venice, FL; and several nieces. Mr. Zeve was preceded in death by his parents, Issac and Frieda Zeve. He has a B.A. degree from New York University and a M.A. degree from the University of New Mexico. Mr. Zeve was a high school teacher in the state of New Mexico for over 30 years at various schools within the state, and 25 of those years at the Albuquerque Public School system until he retired. He then taught at TVI for over 15 years. Mr. Zeve was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. 5th Army, 88th infantry divisions, 3rd battalion, 351st infantry regiment, as a combat infantryman - radio operator. He received three Bronze Service Stars and a Presidential Unit Citations for the Battle of Laiatico. He was also an avid swimmer and runner.
