Obituary for MOSHER

Joyce L. Mosher, loving mother, and grandmother, went to join the Lord and her husband on February 11, 2004. Joyce was born in Sioux City, Iowa, January 8, 1921. She attended the University of Iowa, where she met her loving husband of 60 years, Don. Joyce graduated with a degree in Physical Education and taught until she and Don moved to Los Alamos, NM in 1949. In addition to raising their four children, Joyce was involved in Girl Scouting, Beta Sigma Phi, Aglow, and her hiking group, the Bar-O (the Bar Nothings). In each of her activities, she enjoyed friendships that lasted her lifetime. Don and Joyce relocated to Albuquerque in 1986 where they continued to stay involved with their children, grandchildren, church and friends. Joyce was a born-again Christian whose walk with the Lord sustained her during her life and into her next life. Joyce was preceded in death by Don on Nov. 15, 2003. She is survived by three daughters, Gail Stearns and husband Jim, of Tulsa, OK, Jan Mosher of Albuquerque, and Donna Mosher of Albuquerque; son, Brian Mosher and wife Toby of Pennsylvania; eleven grandchildren, Cara Stearns-Morris, Jeremy Stearns, Louis, Brandon and Nikki Heckroth, Travis and Lia Mosher, Shawn, Joshua, and Audrey Osborn, Janae Sanders; and four great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, February 15, 2004, 2:00 p.m. at St. Stephens United Methodist Church, 4601 Juan Tabo NE, with Pastor Jeff A. Lust, officiating. Dedication of the niche will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menual NE. Should friends desire, contributions may be made to the charity of their choice.
