Obituary for NEIL

Billy D. Neil, 76, a resident of Albuquerque since 1949, died Saturday, February 7, 2004. Billy is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marjorie Neil of Albuquerque; son, Roger W. Neil and wife, Soraya of South Pasadena, CA; daughter, Alisa Sherwood and husband, Perry of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Christopher Sherwood and Stephanie Sherwood of Albuquerque, and Kassidy Neil and Dylan Neil of South Pasadena, CA; brother, Melvin Neil and wife, Helengene of Russell, KS; sister, Darlene Teter of Hutchison, KS; and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his son, Randy Neil. Mr. Neil served in the US Navy during WWII. He retired after 39 years of service with Sandia National Labs. Mr. Neil was a member of Temple Lodge #6, AF & AM. He was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church. A special thank you to Vermont Manor and Vista Care Sandia for their loving care. Services will be held Friday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, with Pastor Clyde Stanfield officiating. Interment will take place at 2:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
