Mrs. Dorothy J. Rivas, 85, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on January 27, 2004. Mrs. Rivas is survived by her two daughters, Rosemary Tafoya and husband, Jerry, Lizz Rivas and boy friend. Johnny Olguin; two sons, Ramon Rivas Jr., Leo Benavidez and wife, Louise; two sisters, Mary Griego and husband, Gilbert Sr., and Emma Montoya; two brothers, George Humphrey and wife, Patsy, Richard Humphrey and wife, Elizabeth; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Rivas was preceded in death by her husband, Ramon Rivas Sr. Mrs. Rivas was member of the Catholic Church. A visitation for Mrs. Rivas will be Sunday afternoon in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 2:00 p.m. by Herman Flores. A final visitation will be Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m by Father Robert Lancaster. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be George Griego, Steven Tafoya, Daniel Griego, Leo Benavidez Jr., Gilbert Griego Sr., and Gilbert Griego Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Sean Humphrey, Donny Griego, Vincent Urias and Angela Rivas.
