Jesse Charles Rehberg, age 81, passed away after a short illness on Friday, January 30, 2004. He was born on September 23, 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio. Jess was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, and a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He retired after 40 years from Sandia Laboratories. He is survived by his son Dan Rehberg and wife Magdalena, daughters Edith Rehberg Shatz and Barbara Salazar and husband James. Two sisters Catherine Langan (Robert deceased), Carol Karasek and husband Dale, brother Earl P. Rehberg and wife Mildred. Grandchildren Amy Rehberg, Kathryn Rehberg, Charles Rehberg, Douglas Shatz and wife Aubrey, Christopher Shatz, Brian Shatz, and Matthew Salazar. Great grandchildren Jacob Shatz and Erika Shatz. He was preceded in death by his wife Bernadette, daughter JoJo, and son Robert. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 2, 2004 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the chapel of Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE. The Rosary will be recited after the visitation. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at 10:00 am At Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd NE. Interment will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Douglas Shatz, Christopher Shatz Brian Shatz, Charles Rehberg, Matthew Salazar, and Marvin Gutierrez.
