Grayce Brislen Maxwell January 13,1 913-January 22, 2004 Grayce Maxwell, 91, a resident of Albuquerque for 21 months, died January 22, 2004. Grayce was born in Creelman, Saskatchewan, on January 13, 1913 to William and Margaret Andrews. At the age of 17, she moved to California. There she met Robert "Bob" Maxwell and they were married May 17, 1936 in Flandreau, SD. He passed away in Colorado in 1973. During their marriage, they lived in South Dakota, Montana, California and returned to Flandreau in 1945. In 1968, they moved to Colorado Springs where she lived until 1983. In 1983, she moved to Grand Junction, Colorado and then in April 2002, she moved to Albuquerque. Her favorite times were with her family. She loved her nickname, "Gigi", which was the name her great-grandchildren called her. She enjoyed watching sports on television, especially tennis and Bronco football. She also enjoyed playing Yahtzee and taking daily walks. She was a member of Eastern Star for many years in Flandreau and Colorado Springs. The family had a special 90th birthday party in January 2003 for her. Those grateful for having shared her life include four daughters, Linda (Dennis) Stahl of Grand Junction, CO, MarLee (Larry) Lienemann of Littleton, CO, Lucille (James) Rewalt of Albuquerque, NM and Jo Ann Neisen of Midvale, UT. She is also survived by one sister, Dorothy Thiele of Pasadena, CA; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob; sisters, Marion Bloomfield and Violet Kamps; brother, Bob Andrews; and two grandchildren, Sara Neisen and Michael Rewalt. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary in Grand Junction, Colorado on Saturday, January 31, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. John Foreman officiating.
