Rita Shook Horton, 85, a resident of New Mexico since 1930 and of the Estancia Valley since 1937, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2004. She is survived by her children, Rita Loy Simmons, Sharron Geilenfeldt and husband, Richard, Tom Horton,Jr; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends. Services will be held Saturday, January 31, 2004, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Mountain Valley Cemetery in Barton, NM.
