Obituary for DAL PORTO

Joseph Dal Porto, 75, a longtime resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2004. Joseph was born June 10, 1928, the son of Angelo and Mary Matteucci Dal Porto in Niagara Falls, New York. He came to New Mexico from Niagara Falls 43 years ago. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. He had been a coach in little leagues with the Mile High, Babe Ruth, Roadrunner, Cibola and Sunset little leagues for 38 years. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Dal Porto; children, Maureen Ann Beavin and husband Bob, Darryl Dal Porto and wife Mary, Dawn Elizabeth Dal Porto, and Paul Dal Porto and wife Dawn Jana; three sisters, Nellie Rose Bryan, Dorothy Plumeri, and Dimma Bucciroso; and eight grandchildren. Special thanks to Gary Wendlick and Lovelace Hospice. The Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, January 27, 2004, at 10:30 AM followed by the Mass of Resurrection at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Rio Rancho. Interment of cremated remains will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Niagara Falls, New York. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sunset Little League, P.O.
