IRIS L. CLEAR, born June3, 1928 went to join her loving husband Tom on January 16, 2003. Iris is the loving daughter of Marie and John Hoff, and sister of John Hoff and Carol Neale, all of whom preceded her in death. Iris is survived by her daughter, Christine Prince and son-in-law, Patrick Prince; son, Thomas J. Clear, III and daughter, Colleen McClure; son-in-law, Chris McClure, of Albuquerque and daughter, Cathleen Duggin and son-in-law, David Duggin of San Diego, California. Iris is blessed with seven grandchildren who survived her, Kevin Duggin, Sharaya Duggin, Kyle Duggin, Hayley Duggin, Payton Prince, Kristin McClure and her newest baby, Christopher McClure. Iris is also survived by her sisters, Rose Marie Gadde, Cheryl Boettner, Marigene DeRusha, Luzette McDonald and brother, Gerald Hoff. Iris Clear graduated from the University of New Mexico with a degree in elementary education in 1951. She then married Thoms J. Clear, Jr. in Webster Groves, Missouri on July 7, 1951. Thus began a life of love, untouchable by all. Iris and Tom lived in Albuquerque a short time, giving birth to Christine. She then moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where she taught third grade, putting her husband through law school. They relocated back to Albuquerque where she reared her children and their families. Iris loved to play bridge, watch her girls dance and going on cruises with her husband, and playing with her grandchildren. Iris began working with her husband at his law firm in 1975 and later became the office manager and "all around boss" of Clear & Clear, P.A. She loved her work at the law firm. Visitation and a celebration of her life will be at Sunrise Funeral Options on Monday January 19, 2004 at 4:00 p.m., with a Rosary being held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday January 20, 2004 at Queen of Heaven Church at 6:30 p.m., with burial being on Wednesday January 21, 2004 at 1:00 p.m at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe.
