Lois June Popham Vessells, age 92, former resident of Farmington, NM, died Friday, January 16, 2004. She is survived by her daughter, Joan Lea Kysar and husband, Carroll of Andrews, TX; granddaughters, Susan Lea Salyer of Andrews, TX and Brenda Kay McCoy and husband, Larry of Magnolia, TX; great-grandsons, Stephen Lee Salyer, Jacob McCoy and Matthew McCoy; numerous nieces, nephew and family. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Guy Vessells, three sisters, Evelyn Bridgewater, Jonie Parker and Hollie McGowan. Mrs. Vessells was active in Daughters American Revolution and Electa Chapter 13 Order Eastern Star in Farmington, NM, Garden Clubs in Farmington, NM and Houston, TX. Lois and her husband were owners of Guy Hardware in Houston, TX and Guy Butane, of Farmington, NM. A graveside service will be Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE.
