Conrada Chavez Page, 88, a resident of Albuquerque since 1960, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2004. Conrada was born in Puerto De Luna, NM on May 30, 1915 to the home of Amado and Clarita Gonzales Chavez. She married Carlos Page on June 12, 1937 at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa, NM. Their marriage was blessed with twelve children, of which eight survive. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Carlos. Also preceding in death are her two sons, Eligio and Michael; two daughters, Alice and Clara; two brothers, Christobal and Arsenio; and one sister, Carolina Abeyta. She is survived by three daughters, Grace Luna and husband, Paul of El Cajon, CA, Ann Bertelle and husband, Tom, and Veronica Page, all of Albuquerque; five sons, Abel and wife, Margaret, Carlos, and Raymond, all of Albuquerque, Sam and wife, Mary, and Robert of Santa Fe; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Elvira Silva of Santa Rosa; one brother, Seledon Chavez and wife, Juanita of Wichita, KS; a daughter-in-law, Orlina Page of Albuquerque; and numerous nephews and nieces. A private graveside burial service was held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery with Deacon Kenn Sinatra of Risen Savior Catholic Community presiding. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to her son Raymond and to the wonderful people of Presbyterian Hospice and the Alzheimer's Association for their compassion and care given to our beloved mother and her family.
