Obituary for HAMBLIN

Troy Hamblin, 69, a resident of Los Lunas for the past 30 years. Troy had been living a healthy and full life until his sudden illness in November. He passed away at Presbyterian Hospital on the morning of January 9, 2004. He is survived by his wife, Melba Hamblin; sisters, Sheela Stephens, Charlotte Hamilton, Connie Mogel. He is also survived by his stepson, Frank Swiontek; and grandchildren, Kasey and Karley Swiontek. Troy and his longtime friend and business partner Joe Craig Doyle spent many years building up their Beekeeping business. They were well known for their creamed honey as well as many flavored specialty honeys. How Sweet It Is Honey participated in the major Arts and Crafts fairs in Albuquerque and will be sorely missed by many long time customers. Troy was a retired Union Iron Wormker. During his years in the service he was an acomplished track star with many ribbons and trophies to show. He also tried his hand at bullriding. A memorial service will be held Thurs. Jan 22 at 2:oopm at the First Baptist Church of Los Chavez, 09 Los Chavez Park. Across from the Old Mill on Hwy. 314. 865-7701.
